N.Y. Standard Pocket Watches


In 1885 in Jersey City, founders established The New York Standard Watch Company. The company produced their first pocket watches in 1888. All watches produced by the company were sold as complete pocket watches as the company produced their own cases as well as movements. The first watch produced by the company was an 18-size, quick train, open faced piece. The company was purchased by the Keystone Case Company which continued operation. When they company stopped producing in 1929, over 7 million pocket watches had been produced.
